Asin the Kochi Beauty was born on October 26 th ,1985 and her sun sign happens to be Scorpion . She was born in Kochi which is in Kerala state. Actress Asin’s full name is Asin Thotumkal . Asin means A-Sin where alphabet A was taken from Sanskrit word and the word Sin was taken from English language. These both combine to form the meaning “without Blemish-pure” or can also be called Sanctity.

She made her debut as a full fledged heroine in the film Amma Nanna O’Tamil Ammayi in the year 2003. Asin’s acting skills and her beauty behind the camera was found out by the Telugu Director Puri Jagannath and she was casted as a lead heroine in this film opposite to Ravi Teja . This was a film in which hero was born to a mother whose husband for his dream to become true leaves her and goes . Asin , the heroine falls in love with the son of the mother whose husband deserts her to fulfill his dreams. She also helps him to regain hero’s father back at the end of the film . Asin with her impeccable performance and good dancing talent won all praises in this film as an actress . In the year 2003 “Shivamani 9848022338 “was another consecutive film released in which Asin was again casted as the lead heroine . this was again directed by Puri Jagannath and Mr . “Gharshana” was another film of Asin in the same year 2004 . in this film asin portrayed a charcter by name Maya who happens to be a DCP generals wife . this film was about a IPS officer who falls in love with a teacher of Delhi public School and later how he Eradicates the Anti Social Elements in the society forms the storyline . The year 2005 started as a bitter experience to asin as the film Chakram realeased in that year beginning bombed at the box office and was declared a flop.

 “Ghajini” which was dubbed into telugu ,overshadowed the failure of Chakram as it was a huge hit . Actor Surya acted opposite to Asin in that film. Asin’s character name was kalpana in the movie . Asin with her slim and mind blowing figure sizzled in every frame of the film which she acted and was also awarded a Filmfare .

 “ Annavaram “ was released in the year 2006 in which Asin was the lead heroine . She gave a good performance throught the film .Power Star Pawan Kalyan was the Hero in this film . It was an average film according to box office financial records .

 Asin in the year 2004 made her debut in the Tamil film “M Kumaran -Son Of Mahalaxmi” which was a telugu remake of the film Amma Nanna O’ Tamil Ammayi. This made a good business in the film circle financially . Jeyam ravi was the her opposite to Asin .
In the year 2005 “Ullam Ketkumae “ realesed in which Asin acted well and was recieved by the viewers whole heartedly .
 Asin Thotumkal acted in the films Ghajini and Majaa in the year 2005. Surya acted opposite to asin in Ghajini and Hero Vikram acted in the film Majaa opposite to Asin these two films where musical hits and earned good amount at the box office .

 In the same year i.e 2005 Sivakasi also released but it was an average film according to the film review sources . 
 Asin acted opposite to Ajith Kumar in the films Varalaru and Aalvar . Varalaru was released in 2006 year ending and Aalvar was released in the year 2007 which were also superhits .

 “ Pokkiri”which was released in the year 2007 had Asin as the lead heroine in it . actor vijay was the hero in this film . It was a Action & musical blockbuster in Asin’s career .

 Three films are said to be released in the year 2007 november and in the year 2008 . “Vel” is set to release on November 9 th as a Diwali gift to Asin’ s fans and Kamal Hassan’s much hyped film “Dasavataram” is said to release in the year 2008 beginning . This film is said to be dubbed in 8 languages .In the same year 2008 “Ghajjini” opposite to Bollywood Hero Amir Khan is set to be released which is a remake of tamil Block buster Ghajjini.

In Telugu also she was considered as a Bad Foot lady opposite to big stars like Balakrishna and Venkatesh and so she was not considered opposite to them in their films .
